Receiving the proper amount of nutrients and calories to support the body as a system and support the activity you do throughout the day. How do we eat for good health?
We have to keep our eye on maintaining insulin levels; keep blood sugars level. The meals must be functional, meaning you have to sustain energy demands and allow the muscle tissue to grow and always repair (to support your activity). Meals should always combine a fibrous carbohydrate (veggies), starchy carbohydrate (yams, potatoes, whole wheat bread), and a protein (lean meats). Eat 5-6x a day to create the metabolic environment you want.
How do we eat for weight loss?
Same way we eat for good health. Proper nutriton contains meals that when eaten stimulate caloric burn. You're body becomes a heat burning machine. Remember, you are the creator of your metabolism and make the body capable of releasing fat. Also, keep everyday stresses down. This helps keep our hormones in check and curbs binge eating.
